Discover the Feldmann Farm: Tradition and quality in our agriculture

For many it's a trend - "know where it comes from..." For us at the Wellnesshotel Eisvogel, it's much more than that. Behind the Feldmann Farm, lies a great passion, that of host Martin Feldmann. He has been running his family's farm for around 30 years. In the past there were only farm animals, then for a long time only Abensberg asparagus and today the range includes a large repertoire of healthy vegetables and delicious berries. It is a great enrichment for the Eisvogel, the value and sustainability behind it is enormous - to be able to offer you first-class and field-fresh products from our farm during your wellness holiday in Bavaria.

He is actually a trained cook and when he is not sitting at the tractor and tending his fields, he is a gastronomer through and through and is happy to accompany you to your table in the Eisvogel Restaurant on Sunday lunchtime. He has been growing the best asparagus in Abensberg for 30 years on his parents' farm in Neukirchen with the help of his brother. He is constantly expanding his repertoire with new, high-quality products and ideas.

Abensberg asparagus: Our favourite vegetable

Abensberg asparagus is known for its first-class flavour and has been grown at Feldmann Hof for many years in first-class quality. The white spears are harvested by hand during the asparagus season from the beginning of April to the end of June, depending on the weather. During this time, you will find delicious asparagus dishes on the menu at the Eisvogel Restaurant - from popular classics with hollandaise sauce to creative new interpretations.

Frieda & Friends: Our happy chickens on the Feldmann farm

Our farmyard chickens have found a home at Feldmann Hof. There they enjoy a happy life surrounded by fresh air as free-range chickens. They like to keep us on our toes with their daring excursions and provide many an amusing surprise. But when they are back home, they are busy laying fresh eggs, which we serve you every morning for breakfast at the Eisvogel.
